At BhelaeArts, every portrait is created with care and attention to detail. Because most of our products are made‑to‑order artworks, our cancellation and refund rules are slightly stricter than for mass‑produced goods.
1. Cancellation Policy
1.1 Order Cancellation by Customer
- Timeframe – Ready‑Made Portraits:
You may request cancellation within 1 hour of placing the order, provided it has not yet been packed or shipped. - Timeframe – Custom Portraits:
Custom portraits may be cancelled within 1 hour of placing the order, before the artist begins sketching. - How to Cancel:

If the cancellation is approved, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method. Please allow 7–10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.
1.2 Cancellation by BhelaeArts
We may cancel an order in rare situations, such as:
- The artwork or frame is unavailable or out of stock.
- There is a pricing or product information error.
- We detect suspicious or potentially fraudulent activity.
If this happens, you will be notified and we will issue a full refund.
2. Return & Refund Policy
Because portrait sketches are delicate, personalized artworks, our return policy differentiates between ready‑made portraits and custom portraits.
2.1 Eligibility for Returns – Ready‑Made Portraits
You may request a return for ready‑made portraits if:
- You contact us within 2 days of receiving your order.
- The item is unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition as delivered.
- You provide a valid order number or proof of purchase.
2.2 Custom Portraits – Non‑Returnable
Custom portraits are created specifically from the photos and instructions you provide. For this reason:
- Custom and personalized portraits are generally non‑returnable and non‑refundable, except where they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect compared to your order details.
- If there is a genuine issue (for example, damage in transit or the wrong size/frame), please contact us and we will work with you on a solution such as a replacement or partial refund, depending on the situation.
2.3 Items Not Eligible for Return
The following items are not eligible for return:
- Custom or personalized portraits created from your photos.
- Items marked as “Final Sale”.
- Items damaged after delivery due to improper handling, storage, or display.
- Any item returned without original packaging or that is missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
2.4 Return Process for Eligible Items
- Initiate a Return:
Email : with your order number, photos of the item, and reason for return. - Approval & Instructions:
Once your request is reviewed, we will confirm if the return is approved and send you return instructions and the return address. - Return Shipping:
- If the item is being returned because of damage, defect, or a wrong item sent, BhelaeArts will cover or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs.
- In all other cases (e.g., change of mind), customers are responsible for return shipping.
- Inspection:
After the returned item reaches us, we will inspect it to verify that it meets the return conditions. - Refund or Exchange:
When the return is approved, we will either:- Issue a refund, or
- Arrange an exchange/replacement, depending on what we agree with you in advance.
2.5 Refunds
- Method: Refunds are credited back to your original payment method.
- Processing Time: Please allow 7–10 business days from approval for the refund to be processed by your bank or payment provider.
- Partial Refunds: In certain cases, partial refunds may be granted, for example if:
- The returned product shows signs of use or damage not caused by shipping.
- Parts of the product or packaging are missing.
- Fees: A restocking or handling fee may apply for some returns of ready‑made portraits; if applicable, this will be clearly communicated before you send the item back.
3. Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged or defective, or if you receive the wrong artwork:
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
- Include clear photos of the item, the packaging, and the shipping label.
- Once confirmed, we will arrange a replacement or appropriate remedy (such as a refund) within a reasonable timeframe, usually 4–7 business days after confirmation.
